Yoga Nidra with Singing Bowls
Yoga means union, and nidra means sleep. Yoga nidra is a state between sleep and deep relaxation – a balance between staying awake and deeply rested simultaneously. It is a guided meditation practiced lying down/any other comfortable position to induce deep physical, mental and emotional relaxation. Combined with sensory cues, visualisations and intentions we internally create an environment that facilitates healing, release and any transformation needed by the individual. It is said that one hour of Yoga Nidra is equivalent to four hours of regular sleep.
Himalayan Singing Bowls
The ancient practice of sound healing, or Nada Yoga (the yoga of sound and vibration), can be found in different forms throughout the world. The use of singing bowls for meditation and healing originates with the Bon shamans and the Buddhist monks of the Himalayas, especially in Tibet and Nepal, but also in other parts of Asia (Sri Lanka, Japan, etc). The particular bowls we’ll be using are all handmade with spiritual or traditional origin, and are aligned to activate and cleans the chakras, or energy centres, of the body.
